It’s hard to give up some of those summer favorites — like sweet, juicy cherry tomatoes — but it’s time to celebrate the cool weather gems coming out of our bountiful West Marin farms. You won’t be disappointed!
Side Street Kitchen’s much loved open-faced veggie sandwich has changed with the season and those who were apprehensive about losing their summer tomatoes are smitten with the new Autumn version featuring Delicata squash, goat cheese, hummus, spicy radish sprouts, toasted pumpkins seeds and more.
They’ve also added a seasonal beer, Fort Point Manzanita — a smoked altbier brewed with charred manzanita. Perfect with any of their slow roasted meats.
And on the sweet and decadent side, you can now order honest to goodness French-style hot chocolate — chocolat chaud. It’s a divine, liquid chocolate dream made with local Clover milk and San Francisco’s Tcho chocolate. This melty goodness is guaranteed to get your motor started and keep you warm.
Also try their dark chocolate pudding, with pistachio streusel and blood orange.
