The Black Heron Inn has three spacious guest rooms that look out on one of the most spectacular views of any Point Reyes inn. The Inn is set on a bluff at the very edge of the Point Reyes Mesa, overlooking rolling grasslands, Inverness Ridge and Tomales Bay.

Take a look inside the Inn and around the grounds

Each guest room has its own private outside entrance, self check-in and a kitchenette with mini-fridge and microwave —making this a good choice if you prefer a more private, independent lodging experience.
The rooms are also quite spacious. The two downstairs rooms are almost identical. They each have a private entrance, kitchenette with mini-fridge as well as a sitting and dining area. You’ll really appreciate how easy it is to make yourself at home in these guest rooms. They both have glass doors that open onto a large deck.
The upstairs unit is a double-level suite. The bottom level has the living area: kitchen, bath, sitting and dining areas. There is a second-level sleeping loft with a king size bed.
The view from this suite is really stunning. The dining area is glass on three sides, giving you an extraordinary panoramic view. You’ll feel like you’re floating above the landscape.
Another thing you’ll love about the Black Heron Inn is how secluded it feels. Since it’s on the very edge of the Mesa, there is nothing between you and the open landscape. There’s no light pollution, so the night sky is brilliant with stars. The only sounds you are likely to hear are from the abundant wildlife that wanders freely over the property.
While you have all this serenity, space and beauty around you, you’re not in some remote location. You’re just minutes from downtown Point Reyes Station, and all the dining, live music, shopping, art galleries and activities of the main street.
