things to do in Point Reyes during covid coronavirus

Jazz Flamenco great, Alex Conde reimagines Thelonius Monk and Bud Powell in a live, online concert.

The onset of the COVID 19 crisis has produced severe economic shocks to the US and the global economies that have affected many of the hardest working people disproportionately, musicians among them. Musicians from all over the world with thriving careers saw their professional lives came to a grinding halt within the span of a few days and with no end in sight. Shelter in Place Concerts is an opportunity to share your passion for music with your families in the comfort of your own surroundings and keep the careers of these world-class artists alive.

Jazz Flamenco pianist Alex Conde has studied and collaborated with jazz stars such as George Garzone, Danilo Pérez, Dave Santoro, and Grammy Award-winners Joe Lovano, Maria Schneider, Wayne Shorter and Esperanza Spalding. Son of the legendary singer Alejandro Conde, (National Prize for the Spanish song 1981 and two gold records) Alex began collaborating with flamenco companies in the United States and Canada such as Theater Flamenco of San Francisco and the prestigious Aspen Santa Fe Ballet where he collaborated with other world class flamenco artists leading him to a nomination for the “Izzie (Isadora Duncan Dance) Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Text in 2011”. Alex has worked with Grammy jazz artists such as Jamey Haddad (Paul Simon), John Patitucci (Chick Corea), among others.

SHELTER IN PLACE CONCERTS is committed to supporting musicians by creating a unique, intimate and interactive performance and master class experiences with world-class musicians from around the globe across a wide range of genres.
