Tomales Bay Trail is an easy 2.5 mile loop trail -- the first one you'll see driving out of downtown #pointreyesstation going north. This loop leads you through pastures and wetlands, down to the bay. It's a very level hike, and if you're looking to stretch your legs after enjoying a meal downtown without making a big hiking commitment, this is a good option. A lot of people confuse Tomales Bay Trail with Tomales Point Trail. Tomales Point is pretty far out into the National Park and is where the Tule Elk Preserve can be found. Tomales Bay Trail is just minutes from down town Pt Reyes.⠀
